How to put FLOW or Digicel Data Settings on a Samsung or Android smartphone

As you may already known, Samsung has launched their latest iteration of the Samsung Galaxy 8S and 8S Plus as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Behold the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 n four colours; Deepsea Blue, Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Gray!!!

So for those of still stuck with the older Samsung Galaxy S3 to S6 Models, the struggle is still real when it comes to adding a Prepaid Data plan from either FLOW Jamaica or Digicel. Here is a quick Primer on how to add a Prepaid Data Plan to a Samsung Galaxy s5, which is similar for all models!!!!

First Select Settings.

Then Select More Networks or More……

Select Mobile Networks

Select Access Point Names.

Select the Menu button. This can be in the form of three vertical dots or MORE in the upper right hand corner.

If these are not present, then press the Menu button, which is usually a button at the bottom of the phone near to the speaker that usually looks like three horizontal lines or a square looking symbol.

Select Reset to default. The following message will appear; click Reset to proceed.

Select the Menu button. This can be in the form of three vertical dots or a + symbol or ADD in the upper right hand corner. Then select New APN in the upper right hand corner!!

Edit APN info or Edit Access Point. Enter Internet Information as follows:

For FLOW Prepaid:

Name: FLOW

APN: ppinternet

APN Type: default

For FLOW Postpaid:

Name: FLOW

APN: internet

APN Type: default

For Digicel Prepaid and Postpaid:

Name: Digicel

APN: web.digiceljamaica.com

APN Type: default

Select the Menu button. This can be in the form of three vertical dots or MORE in the upper right hand corner. Then select Save.

The next page will show a button for the Internet settings you just saved and entered. Select FLOW ppinternet button for users of the FLOW Network or Digicel web.digiceljamaica.com button for users of the Digicel Network.

Restart 10 seconds and you should be able to browse the internet and start receiving messages on Whatsapp. Remember sharing is caring so share this with as many of your friends as you can!!!!
